VERY NICE .... I was especially interested because my great grandfather (Samuel Ellis Brower born June 6, 1845) was baptised in the Wappinger's Creek Prebsbyterian Church of New Hamburg. Does this church still exist? Eileen.....Pan2sy@aol.com

I grew up in New Hamburg and attended Zion Chapel until I graduated from high school...sang in its chior, taught in its Sunday School. My 82 year old mom who was a member for more than 50 years will enjoy this site, too. They say you can't go home again... but you can, at least, visit ever so briefly and warmly remember a very special place. Thanks for the memories lamor@flinthills.com

Elizabeth: Great! My Mom is Helen Soderman. I/we lived on Stone Street and later up in Riverview from November '56 until I went to school in '61. My Mom is still "up the hill" and a very, very active member of the Church. Please keep the great work. apsoderman@aol.com

I am John (Gilly) Gildersleeve. It all started with Zion and St. Nicolas. Since attending both, I've been a Warden and Senior Warden of St. Lukes in Levelland Texas. Have in the past been active in our deanry and helped set up a cluster misson of three small towns 30 miles apart just west of Lubbock Texas, the home of Our Dicoses of Northwest Texas. Attended EMF training in Lubbock. It all started back with Zion and St. Nicks as a misson. Many good friends in New Hamburg area. I say Hello to all of you or should I say " You all."

What a wonderful experience it was to grow up in a small town like New Hamburg. As I look at the old, and new, pictures I realize just how lucky I was to have lived there. Thanks for the memories. Peter Hess Cary, North Carolina pdzth@bellsouth.net

I was baptized in this church many years ago. I'm sorry to hear about Mrs. Brower. We lived right next door. I remember Norma jean Southwell. I left New Hamburg in 1953. Someday my wife (from Baltimore) will take a trip up to the village. I sang in the choir. Mrs Travis was choirmaster at the time. My mom and dad were married in St Nicks in 1932. Makes me very nostalgic to see your web. God Bless You all. poppop142@hotmail.com
