| The Presbyterian Church of New Hamburgh was organized in 1809. On of the four trustees was George Washington Clinton, son of the New York Governor and U.S. Vice President George Clinton.
The building was originally built on the hill to the east of the railroad tracks, overlooking Wappingers Creek. The cemetery is still there, though not in very good repair. The dates on the gravestones run from 1795 to the late 1800s.
